The Yeah Yeah Yeahs came out with their third studio album titled "It's Blitz!" recently. The album has been well received by critics, with Pitchfork giving it a score of 8.1 out of 10, and Metacritic rating it 81 out of 100. Front woman Karen O and her two fellow bandmates Nick Zinner and Brian Chase, have created a different sound on this album and it's definitely a must listen. Tracks to check out: "zero," "soft shock," "runaway," and "hysteric." For more info, go here.

The iPhone 3GS

The iPhone 3GS is out, and it is fast, really fast. It may look exactly like the iPhone 3G, but there are some differences. The speed of the phone has definitely increased, so launching applications and surfing websites is much quicker now. The camera is 3 megapixels, the phone supports 3D graphics, there's a longer battery life, and there's voice control. The starting price for the iPhone 3GS is $199. For more information, go here

Illustrator ++ Justin Lee Williams

Melbourne-based Justin Lee Williams uses delicate lines and intricate ink work to create bold, poster-ready art pieces that appear almost lithographic in appearance. By turns irreverent, mysterious and terrifying (why is vagina dentata of the head shooting rainbow lasers at me), Williams is one to watch. Official website HERE.

Who is Garance Doré?

If you haven't visited her blog, you're missing out. This Parisian photographer captures street style like no other. Plus it doesn't hurt that her boyfriend is photographer Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist. Below are some of our favorite shots by Garance.

NEW MUSIC FRIDAY>> Hecuba Hecuba

Hecuba "Suffering" [Official Video] HD from Hecuba on Vimeo.from last.fm: HECUBA is Isabelle Albuquerque and Jon Beasley from Los Angeles. [...] Dancers, Japanese Koto harp, computers, beat machines, trombones and soul singers have all played a part in the sound. One never knows what to expect from Hecuba.

"Suffering" is bouncy sad doo-wop for depressed young folks nostalgic for the maltshake-&-drive-thru 50's culture they never had. The band is most commonly labelled as freak-folk, but the steady melodic drone-pop can be harkened more to the likes of New Order than anything Devendra Banhart. Official website ICI and myspace link .
